Dennis and Bryson Mowing the Lawn

Bryson loves being outside. He is getting so big he can even mow the lawn. We love watching him be just like daddy.

I was teaching a unit on kings, queens, castles, and knights. I found these hats at the $ store and had to buy them. We didn't know we had two knights in our own house. What handsome boys!

FHE

The girls have the best babysitter this summer. I mentioned her in a earlier post. We love Ms. Katy or Sister Burch, the Primary President. The girls have prepared FHE twice at her house. They bake treats and everything. It is so nice. Our first one was on working together as a team and how it helps families run smoother. Tonight's was on prayer. The girls are so proud that they can do it by themselves. We love it too. One less thing I have to do. It's such a joy to watch them teach us.

Fourth of July Fun

Unfortunately the camera didn't get charged after the trip to Arkansas so we didn't get very many 4th of July pictures because of a dead battery. Bryson had started in with bronchitis on the 3rd so we were pretty low-key. Dennis invited Mike and his family over for a BBQ. He works with Mike at the City of Charlotte. We thought the Speedway was having fireworks (It's just down about 3 miles from us) but they didn't so we drove to the Uptown festivities. We just parked at Dennis' parking structure on the top floor and watched the fireworks from there. We also lit sparklers and had a small BBQ at our home before we left. It was a lot of fun! For some reason it is taking a very long time to upload pictures so I'll do it at a later time.

Trip to Arkansas

Dennis and the girls had a wonderful trip meeting the Drury side of the family in Arkansas. Dennis realized that he hadn't been there since his Grandmother Hetty Drury passed away 18 years earlier. Paul's brother Gary had passed away was the reason for the trip. The girls and Dennis met his parents in Leachville, AR for the funeral. They stayed at a hotel except for the last day they stayed with his Uncle Buddy and his Aunt Linda. The girls had a blast meeting all the cousins as well.

Wow! Time sure does fly....

So much has happened in the last month since I've posted. I just wanted to post a few pictures since it's getting late already. I really want to keep this up. I'm just a little busy these days. I'm in the RS Presidency now and I'm going to be giving a talk on having balance in our life. Interesting hu? I wonder who this talk is for? Hopefully I can do it justice.
