Shelby Turned Six on 1-2-09

Shelby wanted a Princess Slumber Party for her 6th Birthday. It was a lot of fun. I made the Barbie cake that I always wanted to make with my Pampered Chef mixing bowl. I've only had the bowl since she was born. I guess it's a good thing I got around to using it six years later. She had four friends (and her sister) stay the night. Emily, Madison, Kennedy, Celeste, and Alyssa made her birthday SPECIAL! They decorated princess mirrors with jewels, made necklaces and bracelets, played pin the crown on the princess, ate pizza and cake, had a pillow fight, danced, watched a movie, and played Shelby's favorite game Duck, Duck, Goose.
Can you believe they were all asleep by 10:15? What a miracle! It was such a fun time.

Happy 29th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

It's hard to believe it's been 4 years since we celebrated your 25th. You've added 5 grandchildren and 1 son in-law since that time. We've really missed you guys since the move to NC. It's been great fun getting together when we can. Thanks again for making our special day happen in AZ. It was great being there with everyone. We appreciate all of your love and support over the years. We hope your anniversary is special.
Lots of Love-
Dennis,Kristi, Alyssa, Shelby, and Bryson
P.S.
GO CARDINALS! Can you believe they actually won? You can always remember the date the Cardinals surprised us all!

Cami's New Baby Ethan

We got to see Cami and Ethan while we were in Thatcher. It was so great seeing her and little Ethan. What a sweetheart!

Sweet Pictures

I love this picture of the girls on our special day. Bryson wasn't very happy that day and unfortunately we didn't get any of just him, but I had to share these sweet pictures.

Thanks Amy for taking such great pictures. Thanks Kelsey (her sister) for touching them up and putting them on a disk for me. I love them. Thanks for sharing our special day with us and letting us stay at your house and bringing the kids to the temple for us. You're the BEST!

A Little About Bryson-18 & 19 Months Old

We took Bryson to get his haircut while we were in Benson, AZ in December. Mr. Mayberry cut Dennis' hair when he was a child. As you can see Bryson was pretty scared of him. Mr. Mayberry has cut hair with one arm for many, many years in the same shop in Benson. I think we may have scared Bryson to death, but hopefully he'll like his next hair cut a little better.
Bryson is definately keeping us busy lately. He is so much fun, but is constantly making a mess. It's cute watching him explore everything possible that a little boy can explore, but he has starting getting way excited over things. He loves to headbutt and has hit my eye and busted Shelby's lip. We're working on being soft, but he just doesn't seem to get the concept at times. Bryson has another funny side though. He LOVES shoes and purses. It doesn't matter what kind as long as he can do it himself. Don't worry he loves cars, trucks, balls, and all the boy stuff as well. I think his favorite thing is throwing anything, writing with a pen/marker and climbing on the kitchen table. Did I mention that we have to put the DVD and XBox player behind the entertainment center so he doesn't keep pushing all of the buttons? He's quite the handful, but such a sweet boy. He really completes our family.
Our New Years Resolution for him was to get him off of the bottle AGAIN! I can say he has been off since January 2nd! We were too busy on the first to deal with it, but he has been just fine without it. He was my only baby on the bottle past 1 year old. He got an extra 6 months due to the tugging on mommy's heart strings and at the request of the new babysitter that we switched to in December. He surely loved it, but now he's a BIG BOY!
He started nursery the 2nd week in December. Church is so much easier now. WE LOVE NURSERY! Isn't he so handsome in church clothes?

Drury life in 2009...

We've made a few changes to our life. We decide that I would stay home again. I am loving it! I have really missed doing the little things that I didn't get to do when I was going to work at 7 a.m. such as get my girls ready for school, play all day with Bryson, and not having to stay up until midnight cleaning since I always had so much to do. My church calling keeps me pretty busy and I have lots of meetings. It's nice to take care of some of those things in the day while the girls are at school so I'm not dragging the children all of the place in the evenings. Dennis kept them a lot, but he was working until 7 p.m. since he waited for the girls to get on the bus before going to work. Their school doesn't start until 9:15 so that's why he had to work so late. It's nice just being able to have dinner together again.Dennis is usually home before 5 p.m. I feel like I am doing a little less juggling, but life is still keeping me on my toes. I am babysitting a 4 month old named Carter. He is a sweet baby boy. Bryson does pretty well with him, but of course he has his jealous moments. It's a great situation since Carter doesn't usually come until 10 a.m. and I'm off every other Friday. On the Friday he does come, but doesn't arrive until around noon. He usually leaves around 5 p.m. so we still have family time without too much commotion.

Time to Update Again...

I was waiting to blog until I got our pictures from Chelle from our AZ trip. We made a disk while we were in AZ off of her camera because that's the one we used the most. Needless to say the disk didn't copy correctly and now we're just waiting for Michelle. HINT! HINT! I guess her memory card is a little messed up and she's having difficulties copying the pictures. I've decided to skip a little history and start with what I have. I'll just update those later. I'm not just being a slacker. OK, maybe a little.
